Co-Labs · Questions

What it costs, how it starts, what you keep.

The questions we are asked before signing, grouped into five themes. Each answer fits in a few lines, points to the page with the detail, and says only what the product does.

Price and commitment

What does it cost, and what is included?

A core — Liah on the phone — then the modules you choose: the website, the diary, the shop, the client records. A module you leave out does not appear on your invoice, and the setup is invoiced once. The reference figures and your live quote are on the pricing page; the quote you sign is what counts, excluding VAT.

Is there a commitment, hidden costs, a commission?

No minimum term: you cancel for the end of the period already paid, with 30 days’ notice. Call minutes beyond your allowance are counted monthly, on the same invoice. No commission on what you take in: your clients’ money goes to your account, opened in your name; only the payment provider’s fees, at its published rates, are deducted from it. The detail: your invoice, and your freedom to leave.

Can I take payment at the counter, with a terminal?

Yes. You build the receipt in your till, the amount goes to the card reader on your counter, your client presents her card, and the sale records itself as paid, into your account. Until the reader arrives, your current terminal keeps working. The detail: the page on taking payment.

Getting started

How long before I am online?

A person replies to you within 24 working hours. We then set up your workspace and your website from your trade; you approve the preview, and going live is confirmed with you — until then, your website stays closed to visitors. We do not promise a duration before we have seen your trade and your data: step by step.

What do I have to install?

Nothing. Your website, your clients’ booking and your back office are web pages: they open in the browser, on computer, tablet and phone. If you would rather have an icon, your back office installs as an application from the browser — Mac, Windows, iPhone, Android — and the screen shows you how.

Do I keep my telephone number?

Yes. Your number stays yours: your telephone operator diverts it to Liah’s line — when nobody answers, on every call, or outside your hours — and we connect that diversion together with you. If you prefer a new line, we provide it, and it becomes your public number. The detail: your number, your trade, your voice.

Can I keep my current website, and my domain name?

Yes. Keep your website: booking goes into it, with a module you paste in. Or start from ours: we read yours and draw three versions from it, same texts, same photos. Your domain name is connected with us, certificate included, and your Co-Labs address stays open: the website page.

Do you bring my data over from my current tool?

Yes, the import is done by us, with you. From your website we take services, prices, durations, team, opening hours and photos; your client file is imported as a table, one number per person, with a preview before anything is written. Appointments already booked are placed in the diary, at the counter: what comes with you.

Liah, on the phone and on your website

Does Liah replace my receptionist?

She picks up when you decide — when nobody answers, on every call, or outside your opening hours —, books appointments in your real times and gives prices, durations and opening hours. She does not transfer the call to a person: whatever she could not settle waits for you in your back office, transcribed. The detail: you read back everything she did.

Does she introduce herself as an assistant?

Yes. On the phone: “Bonjour, vous êtes bien chez votre maison. Je suis Liah, l’assistante.” In writing, on your website: “Bonjour, je suis Liah, la réceptionniste de votre maison.” The legal pages of your website name the artificial intelligence provider she relies on: your subcontractors, named one by one.

And if my client asks for something Liah does not know?

She says so, without inventing a price, a service or a product missing from your price list, and suggests getting in touch with the business. In trades working on request — quotes, advice, on-site work — she takes down the name, a number or an email and the need, and the request waits for you in your back office. What your clients write from the form on your website arrives there too, with a “To read” marker.

What language does Liah speak to my clients in?

French, on the phone as in writing. Around her, buttons and labels read in four languages; your own texts, in French. Each person in your team chooses the language of her own screen.

  • Liahanswers in French, on the phone and on your website
  • Your website, its booking flow, its chat window — buttons and labels in French, Italian, German, English; your texts, in French
  • Your back officeeach person’s own language, chosen from “My profile”

How do I reduce missed appointments?

The day before, a reminder goes out by e-mail or text message, as soon as your sending channel is connected. The confirmation carries a link: your client moves or cancels on her own, up to the start of the appointment, and the freed slot is offered to your waiting list. A deposit or card-hold rule is shown before she confirms; charging it online is not open yet: the rule first.

Your team and your clients

Who in my team sees my figures?

You, and the person you give the rank of manager to; below that rank, the figures stay closed, even by typing the screen’s address. An apprentice opens her diary and her profile, a team member sees the client records as well. At the counter, where your session stays open all day, a code you choose opens your figures; a single gesture locks them again, and they lock themselves after thirty minutes. The detail: each person sees what concerns her.

Can my clients book without my website?

Yes. Your address votre-nom.co-labs.ch is open from going live; the same booking can be pasted into your current website, shared as a link, as a QR code, on your Google listing or on Instagram. And on the phone, Liah books into the same diary: everything lands in your diary.

What does my client see, and what does she keep?

Her own space, with you: her appointments, her orders, her invoices, her points. There she corrects her contact details, downloads a copy of her data and asks for her account to be deleted, all in the same place; your notes do not appear on her screens. The detail: she keeps control of her data.

Your data and your freedom

Where does my data live, and who backs it up?

In Switzerland, on an Infomaniak server, photos included. Every night, a backup is encrypted before it is even written, then read back to check that it is intact; a second copy, already encrypted, goes off site, in Switzerland too. The providers that handle a share of your data are named one by one on the Switzerland page.

  • HostingInfomaniak, in Switzerland
  • Backupevery night, encrypted, read back, with a copy off site
  • Your accessyou and your team, according to the role you assign

I have several locations: how does it work?

Each location has its own workspace, address, diary and team. An offer for several locations is made on a quote, with us: say so in your request, from the home page.

Can I try it before deciding?

Yes, straight away: Maison Corvel is a demonstration barber’s, open to everyone. Book an appointment there, talk to Liah, open the shop — nothing is real, and a banner says so. Liah answers a few questions an hour per visitor there, enough for a complete booking. Then, during a call with us, you see the same thing in your name: the demonstration page.

How do I reach you?

By e-mail at contact@co-labs.ch, or through the form on the home page: a person replies to you within 24 working hours. Once your workspace is open, the “Help” button in your back office lets you point at the screen you have a question about, and your request reaches us with it: you write to us, a person reads you.

What do I take with me if I leave?

Your client file as CSV, your sales journal and your VAT summary over the period of your choice — from your back office. At your request, we delete your business entirely, accounts and photos included. The detail: the Switzerland page.

Not yet

Your client export stops at 500 records, and the screen says so. No two-factor authentication on your back office yet, nor a registered legal entity for Co-Labs. Everything still to come is written on a single page.
